4. Installation

The EC211PP-BM2-NFC-B system is designed for semi plug & play installation. However, it requires connecting some wires. Due to the complexity and the need to integrate with the vehicle's immobilizer system, professional installation by a trained staff or alarm installer is strongly recommended.

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1 Key Fob Functions

The provided key fobs offer several functions for controlling your vehicle:

• Entwaffnen: Unlocks the vehicle.
• Arm / Panic Mode: Locks the vehicle and activates the alarm. Holding this button may trigger panic mode.
• Stammfreigabe: Opens the vehicle's trunk.
• Ferngesteuerter Start: Initiates remote engine start.

5.2 Remote Engine Start/Stop

To remotely start your vehicle:

1. Ensure the vehicle is in a locked/armed state.
2. Press and hold the 4th siren icon button on the key fob for approximately 3 seconds.

To remotely stop your vehicle:

1. While the engine is running from a remote start, press and hold the 4th siren icon button on the key fob again for approximately 3 seconds.
2. The engine will shut off.

5.3 Passive Keyless Entry (PKE)

The PKE feature allows for automatic locking and unlocking of your vehicle without pressing buttons on the key fob.

• Automatic Unlock: When you approach the vehicle with the key fob within a range of approximately 1-2 meters (3-6 feet), the doors will automatically unlock.
• Automatische Sperre: When you walk away from the vehicle with the key fob beyond a range of approximately 2-3 meters (6-9 feet), the doors will automatically lock.

5.4 NFC Card Lock/Unlock

The system includes an NFC card for an alternative method of locking and unlocking your vehicle.

• To lock or unlock the car door, simply tap the NFC card against the designated NFC reader area on your vehicle (typically near the driver's side door handle or windshield).
• This feature also allows you to drive your car away after unlocking with the NFC card.
• A maximum of 4 NFC cards can be added to the system.

• Continue to press the trunk release button on your key fob twice in quick succession.
• The trunk will release.
