Ensure your door dimensions are compatible with the lock set. Key dimensions are:

• Lock body outside diameter: 2.54 inches (64.6mm)
• Adjustable latch for 2-3/8 inches - 2-3/4 inches (60-70mm) backset
• Fits door thickness from 1-3/8 inches to 1-3/4 inches (35-45mm)

Installation

Important Note: The machine screws come preinstalled in the handle. Please remove them before installation.

General Installation Video

Deadbolt Lock Installation

1. Select Proper Backset: Adjust the latch to either 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) as required for your door.
2. Riegel installieren: Insert the latch into the door edge, ensuring the bolt is retracted. Secure with two (S1) latch screws.
3. Install Outside Cylinder Housing: Insert the outside cylinder housing. Ensure the torque blade is inserted vertically into the cross-shaped crank of the deadbolt latch for proper timing. The keyhole must be oriented as shown in the diagram.
4. Test Inside Knob: Turn the thumb-turn knob to lock (horizontal to vertical, should click) and unlock (vertical to horizontal, no sound).
5. Install Thumbturn Assembly: Keep the thumbturn knob in the vertical position for easy screw installation.
6. Abschlusstest: Always test the proper function of the deadbolt before closing the door.

Door Knob Installation

1. Select Proper Backset: Adjust the latch to either 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) as required for your door.
2. Remove Pre-installed Screws: As noted above, remove the machine screws from the handle before proceeding.
3. Riegel installieren: Insert the latch into the door edge, ensuring the bolt is retracted. Secure with two (S1) latch screws.
4. Installationstipps: During installation, make sure that the lock tailpiece and the thumb-turn knob are in the same position, either vertical or horizontal. Insert the lock tailpiece into the slot behind the thumb-turn knob. Refer to the diagram for correct orientation.

5. Test Outside Knob: Turn the outside knob to test operation. Rotate the lock tailpiece from vertical to horizontal; you should hear a click.
6. Install Inside Knob: Insert the two (S2) machine screws that were removed earlier through the holes in the door rosette and tighten.
7. Abschlusstest: Always test the proper function of the door knob and latch before closing the door.

Betrieb

Your BESTTEN lock set features keyed-alike convenience, meaning all locks in the set operate with the same key. This set is designed for residential exterior or interior doors where keyed entry or security is needed.

• Locking Deadbolt from Interior: Turn the thumb-turn knob on the interior side of the deadbolt to the horizontal position.
• Unlocking Deadbolt from Interior: Turn the thumb-turn knob on the interior side of the deadbolt to the vertical position.
• Operating Door Knob from Interior: The interior door knob can be turned to open the door at any time.

Wartung

To ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your lock set, follow these maintenance tips:

• Reinigung: Reinigen Sie das Schloss regelmäßig mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Tuch.amp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the matte black finish.
