4. Einrichtung und Installation
Follow these steps to correctly assemble your DWC Hydroponics Grow System.
4.1. Water Level Tube Installation
- Insert the seal ring accurately into the designated hole at the bottom of each bucket.
- Firmly insert the water level tube into the seal ring, ensuring a secure connection to prevent leaks.
- Place the red floating ball into the water level tube. This ball will indicate the current water level.

4.2. Net Cup and Drip Irrigation Ring Assembly
- Use a scissor to carefully cut a small hole in the side of each net cup.
- Pass the water inlet tube through this hole in the net cup.
- Tightly connect the water inlet tube with the drip irrigation ring.

4.3. Air Pump and Air Stone Connection
- Cut the black tubing to the appropriate lengths for connecting the air pump to each air stone.
- Properly connect the inline check valve and air flow regulator to the black tubing, ensuring correct flow direction (refer to diagram if provided).
- Connect one end of the black tubing to the air pump and the other end to an air stone. Repeat for all air stones.
- Place each air stone at the bottom of its respective DWC hydroponic bucket, ensuring it is completely submerged in water to maximize oxygen production.

4.4. Final Assembly and Media
- Place the assembled net cup with the drip irrigation ring into the opening of the bucket.
- Add the dry clay pebbles around the plant in the net cup, ensuring the drip irrigation ring is not covered.
- Transplant your plant seedlings into the net cup, making sure the roots are below the drip irrigation ring and can reach the nutrient solution.

5. Bedienung
5.1. Adding Water and Nutrients
Open the triangular cover to easily add water and your preferred nutrient solution to the 7-gallon buckets. Ensure the water level is sufficient for the plant roots to be submerged.
5.2. Monitoring Water Levels
The integrated water level tube with a red floating ball allows for clear and real-time monitoring of the liquid parameters and water level without disturbing the plant.
5.3. Luftstromregulierung
The powerful 11W air pump provides a maximum airflow of 28 L/min. Airflow can be regulated by adjusting the regulator on the air pump. Ensure adequate oxygenation for healthy root development.
5.4. App-Steuerung (optional)
If using a compatible GGS Power Strip, you can control your DWC system's on/off functions, timing, and mode remotely via the GGS app. This allows for convenient management of your hydroponic setup from anywhere.

6. Wartung
6.1. Nutrient Solution Changes
Regularly change the nutrient solution, typically every 7-14 days, depending on plant growth stage and water consumption. This prevents nutrient imbalances and the buildup of harmful pathogens. Drain the old solution and refill with fresh, properly mixed nutrient solution.
6.2. Reinigung des Systems
Periodically clean the buckets, net cups, air stones, and tubing to prevent algae growth and mineral buildup. Use a mild, plant-safe cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Ensure all components are free of residue before reassembly.
6.3. pH and EC Monitoring
Regularly monitor the pH and Electrical Conductivity (EC) of your nutrient solution. Maintain pH levels appropriate for your specific plants (typically between 5.5 and 6.5). Adjust EC as needed to provide optimal nutrient uptake.
7. Fehlerbehebung
| Problem | Mögliche Ursache | Lösung |
|---|---|---|
| Slow Plant Growth | Incorrect nutrient concentration, improper pH, insufficient light, low oxygen. | Adjust nutrient strength, correct pH, ensure adequate lighting, check air pump and air stone for proper function. |
| Wilting Leaves | Lack of water, root rot, nutrient deficiency/excess. | Check water level, inspect roots for signs of rot (slimy, brown), adjust nutrient solution. |
| Algae Growth in Reservoir | Light exposure to nutrient solution. | Ensure buckets are light-proof. Clean reservoir thoroughly during solution changes. |
| Air Pump Not Working | Power issue, clogged air stone/tubing. | Check power connection, clear any blockages in tubing or air stone. |
| Wasserlecks | Loose connections, damaged seal ring. | Inspect all tubing connections and seal rings. Tighten or replace as necessary. |
