5. Einrichtung

  1. Befestigen Sie den Aufhängehaken: Screw the provided metal hook into the designated port on the top of the ST2000 unit. This allows you to hang the device securely under the vehicle's hood during testing.
  2. Fill with Smoke Fluid:
    • Unscrew the 'Oil Fill' cap on the top of the unit.
    • Use the provided funnel to carefully pour baby oil or mineral oil into the reservoir.
    • Monitor the liquid level indicator on the side of the unit. Do not exceed the 'MAX' line.
    • Securely replace the 'Oil Fill' cap.

  3. Connect Smoke Hose: Remove the protective cap from the 'Smoke Vent' port at the back of the unit. Screw the smoke hose connector firmly into this port.
  4. Netzkabel anschließen: Plug the DC 12V power cord into the corresponding port at the back of the unit. Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's 12V battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. The power indicator light on the front of the unit will illuminate.

The FOXWELL ST2000 offers various testing modes for comprehensive leak detection. Ensure the device is properly set up and connected to the vehicle's battery before proceeding.

  1. Einschalten: Once connected to the 12V battery, the power indicator light will turn on.
  2. Testmodus auswählen: Use the navigation buttons on the 4-inch LCD screen to select your desired test mode:
    • High Pressure (Turbo System): For turbochargers, intake, vacuum, and exhaust systems.
    • Low Pressure (EVAP System): For EVAP systems, fuel lines, and general sealing.
    • Selbsttest: To check the internal integrity of the smoke machine.

  3. Perform Smoke Test:
    • Select 'Smoke Test' from the chosen pressure mode (High or Low).
    • Connect the smoke hose to the vehicle system you wish to test using the appropriate adapter (e.g., intake adapter cone, inflatable adapter, cap stoppers).
    • Press the 'ENTER' button to start smoke generation. The device will begin to build pressure and produce smoke.
    • Observe the vehicle system for visible smoke escaping from any leak points.
    • Monitor the real-time pressure graph on the LCD screen for pressure drops, indicating leaks.
    • Press 'EXIT' or 'STOP' to end the test.
