Setup und Installation

Follow these steps to install your PC components into the Sharkoon VK4 Rainbow case.

1. Fallvorbereitung

1. Packen Sie den Koffer vorsichtig aus und entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
2. Remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the thumb screws at the rear and gently pulling it open.
3. Um Zugang zum Kabelmanagementbereich zu erhalten, muss die gegenüberliegende Metallseitenwand entfernt werden.

2. Motherboard-Installation

• The VK4 Rainbow supports Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, and ATX motherboards.
• Montieren Sie die I/O-Blende in die Aussparung an der Rückseite des Gehäuses.
• Align your motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs and secure it with screws. Ensure all standoffs are used for proper support.

3. Installation des Netzteils (PSU)

• Install the PSU into the dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the case.

4. Installation des Speicherlaufwerks

• The case supports up to two 3.5" HDDs or four 2.5" SSDs.
• Mount 3.5" HDDs in the drive cage located under the PSU shroud.
• Mount 2.5" SSDs on the dedicated mounting points behind the motherboard tray or on top of the PSU shroud.

5. Installation der Grafikkarte und der Erweiterungskarte

• Entfernen Sie die erforderlichen Erweiterungssteckplatzabdeckungen an der Rückseite des Gehäuses.
• Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the PCIe slots on your motherboard and secure them with screws.

6. Kabelmanagement

Nutzen Sie die Kabeldurchführungen und Befestigungspunkte hinter dem Mainboard-Tray, um die Kabel ordentlich zu verlegen. Dies verbessert die Luftzirkulation und die Optik.

Betrieb

Anschlüsse an der Vorderseite

The top panel of the VK4 Rainbow case provides convenient access to essential ports:

• 2x USB 3.0-Anschlüsse: Für Hochgeschwindigkeits-Datenübertragung mit kompatiblen Geräten.
• 1x TRRS Port: A combined audio jack for headsets with a single 3.5mm plug (microphone and audio).
• Netzschalter: To turn your system on/off.
• Reset-Taste: Um Ihr System neu zu starten.

Lüfterbetrieb

The four pre-installed 120mm rainbow effect fans are connected via Molex connectors. Due to this connection type, the fans operate at a constant speed and their speed cannot be adjusted via the motherboard. This ensures consistent airflow but may result in a noticeable fan noise level.

Wartung

Reinigung des Staubfilters

• The VK4 Rainbow features pre-installed dust filters at all air intake points (front, top, and bottom).
• Periodically remove and clean these filters to prevent dust buildup inside the case, which can impede airflow and component cooling.
• Filters can typically be cleaned with compressed air or by rinsing with water and allowing them to dry completely before reinstallation.

Allgemeine Reinigung
