First-Time Setup Tutorial

When using Mind Graphics 2 with Mind for the first time, please watch the video tutorial and carefully follow the instructions to complete the setup. Otherwise, Mind Graphics 2 may not function properly:

When using Mind Graphics 2 for the first time, please follow these steps to ensure proper display output:

1. Aktualisieren Sie die gesamte Mind-Software auf die neuesten Versionen, dazu gehören die Mind-App, das BIOS und EC.
2. Connect Mind to Mind Graphics 2, whilst keeping the monitor connected to Mind’s HDMI port.
3. Verwenden Sie die Mind-App, um den Grafikkartentreiber und den Patch zu installieren.
4. Use the Mind App to modify the “Device Mode When Unplugged” to complete the setup.

Detaillierte Anleitung:

1. Before using Mind Graphics 2, upgrade Mind’s software to the latest version:

a) Connect Mind to a power source using the provided power adapter and USB-C cable.
Notiz: Do NOT connect Mind to Mind Graphics 2 until you reach step 2c.
b) Prepare an HDMI cable and connect Mind to a monitor.
c) Press Mind’s power button to power it on.
d) Open the Mind App and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update. Alternatively, right-click the Mind App icon in the Windows system tray (bottom-right corner) and select Nach Updates suchen.

Optional: You can also visit the Khadas webSeite? ˅ (https://dl.khadas.com/products/mind-series/app/) to manually download and install Mind App v1.60 or later.
e) Open the Mind App, then go to Mind > Device Upgrade > BIOS Upgrade. Click Check for updates and upgrade the BIOS to the latest version. Once the update is complete, Mind will restart automatically.

f) Update the EC firmware (Mind 1 only):
After the restart, open Mind App again, go to Mind > Device Upgrade > EC Firmware Upgrade, click Check for updates, and update the EC firmware to the latest version. After the upgrade, Mind will automatically restart.

2. Connect Mind to Mind Graphics whilst keeping the monitor connected to Mind:

a) After Mind restarts, select Start > Leistung> Schließen runter um es auszuschalten.

b) Use the provided AC power cord to connect Mind Graphics 2 to a 100V-240V power outlet. Mind Graphics 2 will automatically power on, and the indicator light will breathe slowly in white color.

c) Place Mind into Mind Graphics 2, ensuring that the Mind Link interface is properly aligned. Then press Mind’s power button to power it on.

d) When connected together, Mind Graphics 2 will provide power to Mind through the Mind Link interface, and you are free to unplug Mind’s USB-C power cable.

3. Use Mind App to install the graphics card driver and patch:

a) Go to the Mind App, follow the on-screen instructions, and click Go & Install > Update Now > OK um den Grafikkartentreiber zu installieren.

b) After installing the driver, follow the prompt and click Restart Now to restart Mind.
c) After restarting, open the Mind App again. Follow the on-screen instructions and click Jetzt installieren um den Patch zu installieren.

Note: If the graphics driver and patch cannot be installed through the Mind App, please visit https://dl.khadas.com/products/mind-graphics-2/drivers/ to manually download and install them.

4. Use Mind App to modify the “Device Mode When Unplugged” to complete the setup:

Hinweise

1. When using Mind with Mind Graphics 2 across different scenarios, do NOT set Gerätemodus bei Trennung vom Stromnetz Zu Schlafen. This may cause graphics detection issues and prevent Mind Graphics 2 from functioning properly.
   If this occurs, press and hold Mind’s power button for 8 seconds until Mind Graphics 2’s indicator light flashes, then press the power button again to restart.
2. If you have swapped Mind from other expansion modules (such as Mind Dock) to Mind Graphics 2, and the HDMI or DisplayPort of Mind Graphics 2 does not have any display output, keep Mind connected to Mind Graphics 2, then press and hold Mind’s power button for 8 seconds until Mind Graphics 2’s indicator light flashes, finally press Mind’s power button again to restart it.
